Before you begin

  • Your own signed-in staff account.
  • A supported device with a screen lock for passkey-based device unlock.

Set up device unlock

  1. Step 1. Open your account menu and Security.
  2. Step 2. Review the supported device-unlock options, then choose Enable on this device.
  3. Step 3. Complete the device’s fingerprint, face, screen-lock or passkey confirmation.
  4. Step 4. Choose whether to lock after idle and whether sensitive actions require device confirmation.
  5. Step 5. Test the local unlock without sharing the account or its recovery access with another person.

Understand the sign-in boundary

Device unlock protects this School Mann browser or installed app. Warmkeys remains the sign-in service when the session expires. A biometric prompt does not create school permissions or change which school and classes you can access.

  • Use your own account and sign out when finishing on a shared device.
  • Review and remove a saved device credential when it should no longer be used.
  • If the session expires, return through the Warmkeys sign-in flow and select the right school.
  • Use the account’s recovery process for lost sign-in access; a local unlock cannot recover a missing school membership.

Install the app and manage prompts

Use the install option offered by the browser or the app menu. On iPhone or iPad, follow the displayed Add to Home Screen instructions. Installation, notifications and device unlock have separate browser permissions.
